Prayer Gathering

Sundays at 5pm

ETHOS OFFICE
2301 8th Avenue South | Nashville, TN 37204

Join us for a casual, participatory, Spirit-led time of prayer and worship. Each Sunday night we gather together to call on the name of Jesus for the sake of our church, city and world.

Prayer Gathering meets and exists to provide a space for corporate intercession with a goal of beholding the Lord. With purposes of engaging in intercession that is empowered by the Holy Spirit, as well as being established in the church's biblical identity as the bride of Christ, Prayer Gathering allows attendees to both learn how to pray and engage in prayer in a variety of ways.

Typically, the first Sunday of the month is Nations Prayer Gathering, focused outward on intercession for the nations. The second Sunday is Healing Prayer Gathering, with elders on hand to pray for individuals seeking physical and emotional healing. The third Sunday of the month is Community Prayer Gathering, with a variety of leaders and expressions of prayer. The fourth Sunday of the month is a more fluid harp and bowl expression, with prophetic ministry mixed with prayer and worship.

With several methods to pray offer each night, newcomers are welcome to sit and observe — or participate in leading from the front, small group prayer, and individual times of silent reflection and prompted prayer points. Scripture is often utilized, and tools are offered to learn to pray scripture effectively. Worship is a part of every Prayer Gathering as well.

*Prayer Gathering meets almost every Sunday of the year, with exception on select Sundays, such as holiday weekends. Please join our Weekly Emailor check our social media to stay up to date on calendar changes.

Ethos Church Camp

This summer, from July 19-24, we will gather for a week full of worship, connection, and fun! Camp will be open to 4th–12th grade students (finished grade applies).

The goal of summer camp is to turn our attention and affection toward God for an extended period of time by putting away distractions and putting ourselves in position to watch Him move. God isn’t more present at camp than He is elsewhere, we simply make space to be more aware of what He is doing. Some things to look forward to include super sports, skit night, talent show, incredible worship, time on the water, crafts, devotional time with your age group, and much more!

Adults, we need you to come serve as staff at camp! College students, we need you to be counselors! Please submit a short application if you are interested in being on staff or a counselor; and please register (or have your older child register themselves) as a camper. We can’t wait to see what God will do!

Baptisms at Prayer Gathering

We will be celebrating baptisms at Prayer Gathering on Sunday, August 9.

Baptism

At Ethos Church, we believe baptism is one of the most exciting moments in a person’s journey of faith. Baptism is a powerful moment in which we publicly identify ourselves with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ as we surrender our ways to His way. It is a life-changing moment where we declare our love for Jesus publicly through baptism and we receive the gift of God’s grace through faith along with the indwelling Holy Spirit. Baptism is a concrete reminder of God’s saving action on our behalf and our union with Christ.

Celebrating Baptism

At Ethos Church, we celebrate baptism in a variety of ways. People have been baptized in front of large crowds during our Sunday Worship Gatherings, in small groups after a house church meeting on a week night, in rivers and pools — even during lunch breaks in our church office with just a handful of friends to celebrate. Regardless of the time, place, or number of people witnessing — we love to celebrate as people decide to express their love to Jesus through baptism. If you are interested in being baptized, we'd love to connect with you and help celebrate this moment in your journey!

If you are interested in baptism, please register by clicking the button on this page — someone from our pastoral team will reach out to you!

If you have questions about baptism, email us at baptism@ethoschurch.org.

Downtown: Altered Schedule

On June 7, we will have an altered Sunday morning worship schedule. We will have an 8am worship gathering and another at 9:30am. We will have kids classes at both gatherings.

If you typically go to the 9am gathering, if you're able, we're asking you to come to the 8am. If you typically come to the 11, we're asking you to come to the 9:30.

We have an early out in our venue on this day for a concert that Marathon is hosting that night. We know that we've had a couple of these over the past few weeks. We don't have another in the foreseeable future. By choosing to rent our venue, sometimes we face situations like this. However, it allows us to be more generous with missions and in our city and taking care of people. Thanks for being flexible and understanding.

Grow Class: Feasts of the Lord

Seeing Jesus in God’s Appointed Times

In Leviticus 23, God gives His people a cycle of sacred festivals — divine appointments that shape their worship, identity, and hope.

In this Grow Class, we will explore all seven biblical festivals and discover how each one reveals the story of redemption fulfilled in Jesus — pointing us to past fulfillment, present formation, and future promise. Along the way, we will touch on church history and consider why most Christians moved away from observing these rhythms.

This class will meet for three sessions covering all seven feasts. A fourth (optional) session will include a guided Passover Seder experience. Space for the Seder will be limited, and those enrolled in the class will have first opportunity to register.

Come discover the beauty of God’s redemptive calendar — and see how it deepens our understanding of Jesus and His work.

When: March 10, 17, and 24 from 6:30-8:00pm
Where: Ethos Church Office

Register online.

Prayer Gathering

Sundays at 5pm

Prayer Gathering meets almost every Sunday of the year, with exception on select Sundays, such as holiday weekends. Please join our Weekly Email or check our social media to stay up to date on calendar changes.

No childcare is provided. However, we welcome children of all ages to engage and pray with us!
