Easter Sunday, April 5

Each Easter, we rejoice with Christians all around the world in celebrating the resurrection of Jesus and His triumph over death. We thank Him for what He has done in our lives and we look for ways to share Him and serve others in response to what He has done for us.

As we celebrate the Easter season, we invite you to join us in three specific ways:

Easter is a wonderful time to invite your friends, family, and neighbors to join us! In addition, we are offering some special opportunities the week leading up to Easter to help prepare our hearts to celebrate Jesus overcoming death. These are great opportunities to get to know some other people in our church family.

SUNDAY, APRIL 12: BAPTISMS AT DOWNTOWN

Every Easter we collect a special offering to bless our city. 100% of our offering on April 5 will go towards the work of God in Nashville. Our desire is to invest in 3 different ministries that are doing the important work of sharing Jesus and serving people in Nashville.

Our goal this year is to give 135,000 to three local ministries ($45,000 each).

PEOPLE LOVING NASHVILLE / PARADEISOS COFFEE

Since 2008, People Loving Nashville has equipped and mobilized volunteers and supporters to serve our city’s most vulnerable and unhoused by meeting immediate survival needs, fostering community, connecting to essential resources, and supporting long-term stability and restoration. Guided by the scriptures, PLN shows love and dignity to those living on the streets, so that hope and healing might happen in Nashville.

URBANPROMISE NASHVILLE

Volunteers and staff at UrbanPromise Nashville show the love of Jesus to our immigrant and refugee neighbors by raising up young leaders and investing in consistent, meaningful relationships. Through formative mentorship, educational support, and spiritual care, they help youth find belonging, discover their God-given identities, and grow in confidence as who God created them to be.

At the heart of Jesus’ teaching is his command for us to love Him and to love our neighbors. Before we can truly love our neighbors, we have to know them first. We want to invite you to take a step in loving your neighbors this Easter season.

  • Before the end of April, get to know some of your neighbors that live around you—or get to know people that you encounter every day at work, the gym, etc. that you might not know yet.

  • Start praying for them consistently and specifically, asking the LORD to bless them and draw them to him.

  • Think of a kind way to introduce yourself and take note to remember their names.

  • Watch expectantly to see how the Lord might answer your prayers and how you might further your relationship with these neighbors.
