Serve Our World

Global Missions

At Ethos Church, we are passionate about global missions.  As a church family, we want to fully lean into The Great Commission laid out in Matthew 28:19 "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."  We go not by our might, but by the power of the Holy Spirit as defined in Acts 1:8- "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."  We believe God’s plan for advancing the Gospel across the nations is accomplished through the local church. Therefore, our focus and resources will be devoted to Planting, Partnering, and Praying.

Below you will find a list of current mission efforts that are connected to the Ethos Family. For some, you'll see details on how to get involved.  For others, we'll periodically invite our church family into opportunities to serve throughout the year. If you have any questions, email

When: 1st Sunday of every month at 5pm
Where: Ethos Office, 2301 8th Avenue South, Nashville, TN 37204
About: At Ethos, we are passionate about God's global mission. We believe God is inviting us to be a part of his work around the globe, and that prayer is the foundation and fuel of a missional church. Therefore, our Prayer Gathering time on the first Sunday of every month will be focused on praying for the nations. If you have a heart for missions, what God is doing globally, and want to intercede for the nations, we invite you to join us for a dedicated time on prayer every first Sunday of the month at 5pm.

In 2011, Ethos was been given the honor of helping plant two churches in the villages of Basirhat and Gaborda, India.  In the past six years, those churches have multiplied to 6, and God continues to do amazing things through our Lead Pastor Piyas Dey and his team.  Click here for a link to a video we made for a past Birthday Sunday about our team in India.

This year, we had the privilege of training and equipping Andre Prim to plant V21, a movement in the heart of downtown Lisbon to show Jesus to those who have never met Him. V21 is focused on giving the lost a place to belong before they believe, and wants to create a church community where both Christians and non-Christians can feel at home.

Years before the current refugee crisis, Chris and Amy Moore felt the Lord calling them to move to Athens, Greece as missionaries.  At the time, they had no idea what the Lord had in store for them.  Chris and Amy now work with Hellenic Ministries as the Program Managers for a bustling refugee center in the heart of Athens.  They oversee the providing of showers, laundry, meals, clothings, etc. for refugees, as well as developing and organizing bible studies for refugees and discipleship among them.  To learn more about what God is doing in Greece, visit Hellenic Ministry's website here
