COUNSELING & SHARE GROUPS
We believe there are many seasons in life in which Biblical Counseling can play a vital role in continued growth a maturity of an individual or family. At Ethos Church, we are committed to helping our church family grow deeper in all facets of the Christian journey. We are pleased to provide connections to godly counseling through the following people and counseling centers.
Harpeth Hills Counseling Center
The counseling services are offered to the Harpeth Hills church family, as well as the community at large. While individual therapy is provided for matters such as anxiety or depression, a major focus for the Center is that of “relationships.” This includes preparation for marriage, marital therapy, divorce adjustment, stepfamily adjustment and parent-child relationships. The Counseling Center is open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Appointments can be scheduled by calling 615-690-4661. If appointments need to be canceled, clients are encouraged to call 24 hours prior to their scheduled time in order to make the necessary changes. The customary fee for counseling is $85 for an initial evaluation and $85 for each hourly counseling session. While the counseling center does not file insurance, clients are free to file their own insurance to assist in paying for counseling. Financial assistance is available to Ethos Church Family Members.
Lipscomb University Family Therapy Center
The Lipscomb Family Therapy Center serves the mental health and relationship care needs of individuals, couples, and families in the Nashville community. We provide confidential, compassionate and comprehensive therapy services on a variety of issues in a comfortable and private setting. Therapist interns work under the supervision of licensed marriage and family therapists and Lipscomb University MFT faculty. Clients have the advantage of working with a treatment team as opposed to an individual therapist.
We offer a generous sliding scale fee from $10-$90 per session (based on income and family size) and make every effort not to turn anyone away because of an inability to pay. Located on the edge of Lipscomb University’s campus, on-site parking is available. At the Lipscomb Family Therapy Center, we welcome everyone, regardless of religious or spiritual background, and we believe that seeking help shows strength and a personal commitment to becoming a healthier person. To contact, email or call 615-966-5300.

Andy Melton: PhD, LPC-MHSP
I help disconnected couples, restless entrepreneurs, and those stifled by anxiety and depression. When I entered this profession, I realized everyone on the planet needs a safe place where they can be completely themselves and say anything. At times we need to chat with someone who's not part of our family or friend circles, someone with training and skills to help us navigate challenging thoughts, emotions, relationships, and matters of faith.
My experience includes 15 years training and practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC-MHSP). In 2018, I completed a PhD in counselor education and supervision in addition to a masters in clinical mental health counseling and marriage and family therapy.
Location: Inglewood neighborhood of East Nashville.
Rates: $120 for Individual & Couples Counseling, $80 for Premarital Counseling. Reduced rates are available on a limited basis.
I'd be glad to meet for a brief consultation (no cost) to see if I'm a good fit for you. Or, if you know you're ready to get started, you can view my schedule here. Feel free to text or call with any questions at 615-669-4105.
Bonnie Kate Simpkins: MMFC/T
My goal is to give hope and help couples needing support as they overcome crisis or as they strive to become more deeply connected in their intimacy. Pre-maritals are incredibly fun and insightful. I enjoy walking with couples as they get started and want to create a firm foundation. I also enjoy working with adult individuals who want to overcome various life struggles such as: grief/loss, anxiety, depression, or trauma. I believe that vulnerability it the root of our greatest strengths and am honored to a part of that sacred process with my clients.
