Dru Wilson

Office Manager

Dru is the glue that holds us all together! She is the office manager for our Ethos office, and she does a wide variety of tasks: administrative tasks to keep our office in order, maintaining office supplies, overseeing room reservations — as well as coordinating maintenance, deliveries, and food for all staff events. In addition to managing the office, she serves on the Welcome Team and helps get people more connected at the Cannery.

Dru, along with her husband, Dave, worship with our Cannery family on Sundays. They have three grown children — Dabney, James, and Matthew (the two latter are twins).

Originally from Dallas, Texas...Dru has lived in Middle Tennessee for over 25 years. She attended college at University of Texas (Austin, TX). She enjoys mentoring and teaching younger women about God and His Word. Dru loves studying and learning more about the Bible and sharing that with other women. Dru and Dave are passionate about Israel and taking groups there. Dru has a deep love for family — and spending time and having fun with them is one of her favorite things...

"My passion has always been my family, and I am so grateful for all of them. I have a goofy side that isn't seen too much at the office but keeps my kids and hubby entertained (or wondering — haha!). I am a sports nut, love watching college football the most so you can often find me yelling and cheering in front of the TV on Saturdays in the fall."

When asked how she and Dave met, Dru said...

"Dave and I met through work in Dallas, Texas. We were both working for the same real estate developer and numerous people were trying to set us up. But we met on our own at a work related party, and he offered to drive me home (it had snowed that day - yes, in Texas), and I hadn't driven my car because of that. That and a stop for Mexican food on the way home was the beginning of our relationship..."

Favorite Travel Destination:

Austin, mountains of Colorado, any place with beautiful views that I can enjoy with my family

Favorite Things to Eat:

Good Tex Mex, Juice Bar, honestly - open to most kinds of food!

At one time, we had 9 pets (horses, dogs and cats) but currently are down to one rescue dog named Beardsley!

I love mostly to spend time with my husband and kids. My husband and I love to hike, read, travel and just hang together. I am passionate about college football (especially about Texas and Mississippi State (where my sons went) and love watching most college sports. My husband I currently live in the Gulch — so we love to walk, try new restaurants, and experience city life.

Favorite Music:

My favorites are praise and worship music and country music. I also love the older music of U2. I grew up on classic country music (Texas style) such as Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings. I still love them, as well as George Strait, Carrie, Garth, etc.

Favorite Books:

The Bible, A Praying Life, To Kill a Mockingbird, Pride and Prejudice, The Help, and anything by Chuck Colson (How Now Shall We Live is my favorite of his)

Favorite Movies:

Classic: Sound of Music, Christmas: Elf, love the Bourne and Oceans series, and gotta have a Disney favorite...Aladdin
