Christmas at Ethos Church

December is a special month at Ethos Church. Each year, along with Christians all around the world, we pause to reflect on the significance of Jesus Christ entering the world the first time as a human, and turn our hearts in eager anticipation to his future return as the Lord and King of all creation.

As we prepare for Christmas, please take note of our special schedule and service initiatives in the city.

1. Christmas at Ethos Church

Dec 21 : Christmas Gatherings

Marathon Music Works 9a, 11a
Hillsboro Village 5p, 7p

* Cannery AM Gatherings will be joining MMW for a special Christmas celebration
* Both evening gatherings at Hillsboro Village will be Candlelight Worship Gatherings

2. Church in Our Homes

Dec 28th & Jan 4th

The home was the central gathering place of worship for the first followers of Jesus (Deut. 6:4-9, 1 Cor. 16:19, Col. 4:15). Friends and family gathered to read the scriptures, sing songs, reflect on God's goodness, and share a meal. For the first followers of Jesus, worship began in the home.  A few times each year, we like to take the opportunity to get back to our roots as a church. Not only did the first followers start by meeting in homes, but Ethos Church began six years ago by meeting in a home & to this day homes play a significant role in our weekly worship rhythm.

On Sunday December 28th & January 4th Ethos Church will not be gathering at the Cannery, Marathon, or Hillsboro Village. Instead, we will be meeting in hundreds of homes throughout Nashville and beyond. To learn more about why we do this and how you can best prepare go here

Most of our church will be gathering with their house churches on those Sundays, but others will use the resources we post online to worship in their own homes with friends, family, and neighbors. Mark Your Calendars. Make plans with your friends & house churches. Invite your neighbors to join you. The "At Home Worship Resources" will be online and available on December 21st, 2014.
