Creative and Communications Director
Caity handles all communicating on behalf of Ethos Church in various platforms (social media, website, email) and designing and maintaining all art to brand standards. She also serves on the Respond team, is part of the Freedom Prayer team, and attends the Cannery Ballroom campus. Caity and her husband, Will, were original members of the team that planted Ethos in 2008. Caity has been on staff since 2010, initially leading the volunteer and kids areas before transitioning into graphic design and communication.
Born and raised in Franklin, Tennessee, she's the middle child of 5 kids and really loves being part of a big family. She attended O'More College of Design in Franklin, Tennessee and majored in Visual Communication. Her first memory of Will (her husband) is in middle school when he was fixing the video camera for the middle school news channel — but she got to know him during their Junior English class in high school. It wasn't exactly love at first sight, as her stubborn personality got in the way...
“It took me a while to warm up to him because he drove me crazy, but he obviously won me over! We've been together since we were 17, and it's better than anything I could have planned on my own!”
Caity loves spending time with Will and their three kids, Hattie, Liam, and Violet. Family time is her favorite thing...she enjoys playing outside, making up silly games, crafting, and having lots of picnics with her family!

Watercolor, Florida (or anywhere along 30A) — put me on a beach with a good book, an umbrella, and a breeze...and you won't see me until sundown! Also, Disneyworld, Charleston, San Francisco, New York City, Chicago — and I'm itching to head out west!
Favorite Things to Eat:
Mexican food, pizza, cheeseburgers, chocolate chip cookies...you know all the healthy stuff. What else would you like people to know about you?
I am passionate about people walking in freedom and healing — Freedom Prayer has helped me step into my own journey of freedom and healing — and I feel like I am always telling people how incredible it is to encounter God in prayer like that!
I love teaching people to be creative and make things — being creative is a big part of who I am, and I believe all people have access to the creative spirit of God! I also love hosting people in our home — Will and I love to cook big meals together for guests — and then slowly eat as we enjoy conversation around the kitchen table. And dessert always follows the big meal at the Shinnick house!
