Turkey Hangover

Posted by Dave Clayton on

Welcome back. I hope you feel refreshed and well rested after a few days of vacation. Sydney and I really enjoyed spending time with family, eating turkey, watching football, and just being mindless. It was really nice to actually relax for a few days. It sure is hard to get going again after the holidays though. Anywho :) ...

I will keep it short and simple today. I read a powerful verse this morning that really got the gears turning.

"Lord, remind me how brief my time on earth will be. Remind me that my days are numbered, and that my life is fleeing away." - Psalm 39:4 (NLT)

This verse made me stop to ask the question...

If today is my last day to live, have I spent today doing things that matter?

I pray that you lived life today on purpose. I pray that you took advantage of your time with friends, co-workers, and family. I pray that you slowed down enough to appreciate the things that God was doing all around you. Most importantly, I pray that you spent your life today living for the one that gives you life to begin with.

I love you guys. If you didn't live life on purpose today, repent and start new. I'm glad we get to do this together.
