TAKE A MEAL TO THE PARNELLS

We are excited to celebrate the impending arrival of another Ethos baby, Luke Parnell, son of Sam and Kristina Parnell and brother to Eli and Kate.  Luke should be entering the world later this week. As a church family, we have the joy and responsibility of caring for one another. You can sign up to take the Parnells a meal here.

SERVE: WINTER WARMING SHELTERS

We are partnering with Open Table to provide volunteers for Winter Warming Shelters.  When temperatures drop below 20 degrees there will be extra space available for our friends on the street to come in out of the cold. The city provides emergency beds, but not enough to accommodate everyone who is homeless. There will be a training day on November 10, 2012, at Belmont United Methodist Church from 10am to 12pm. You can also donate air-mattresses and winter gear (hats, gloves, scarves, blankets, socks, etc.,).  If you are interested in helping with this effort, please call Kylie at 205-369-7833 or email her at

GIVE: THANK YOU

Thanks to everyone who prayed, spread the word, and gave generously and joyfully towards clean water wells in Rwanda. We came together and raised nearly 60K! This will give hundreds of Rwandans access to clean water forever. It's amazing what our church can do when we pull together and bless people in the name of Jesus. Click here to watch a personal thank you from Scott Harrison, founder of Charity Water. (password "thanks")
