Information:

All current 5th-12th grade students are invited to come live a week on mission in our own city of Nashville with Ethos Students from July 1-6. We will be exploring what God is up to in our city and how we can be a part of it. We will spend time learning some of our city’s history, its challenges, and the kingdom opportunities that we can be aware of and participate in. Some of those kingdom opportunities will be refugee ministry, homeless ministry, and learning from other neighbors who have different life experiences than us. By facilitating a space for these neighbors in our lives, we hope to learn why there is still so much of our city that is segregated and why the gospel calls us to participate in reconciliation.

We will be treating this mission trip the same that we would any other mission trip beyond Nashville. We will be staying together at the Hillsboro Church of Christ, sharing all of our meals together, playing together, serving together, dialoguing together, and practicing living on mission as the people of God. We are expecting that everyone who joins us this week on mission will be with us the entire week to give their full attention to what God might be up to in our city and community. Since this mission trip is in our own backyard we plan on continuing some of the work that we start throughout the year.

Ethos Students' philosophy of mission trips is to help us learn to live on mission where we live and this year we have the opportunity to actually do that in our own city. We will have a great time together enriching our community because life on mission can be a ton of fun. This is a fantastic way for students to connect deeply with our Ethos Students community, partner with God for the good of others, and make memories together.
