Cannery Family News
Last week, the Mercy Lounge announced that their venues on Cannery Row (Mercy Lounge, Cannery Ballroom, High Watt, and One) will be closing in Spring 2022. Our current lease agreement for the Cannery Ballroom is through Mercy Lounge. Members of our staff have been and will continue to meet with the property owners in regards to the impact this will have on our Cannery campus. As we receive more information from the property owners, the Elders and Direction Team will communicate with you, our church family.
In the meantime, we invite you to join us in thanking God for his faithfulness as we prayerfully ask Him to show us where He is leading our church family in this season. We have always believed that the church is a group of people, the body of Christ — not a building or location. Together we have lived into this belief over the last 13 years as we moved from our initial gatherings in a home to a coffee shop in 12 South to a park in Green Hills to our current home at the Cannery Ballroom. If you were not with us on Sunday, October 10th, then take a moment to listen to Dave’s teaching on how the Faithfulness of God frees us from worry in seasons of uncertainty.
Although we don’t know what the future holds, we know who holds the future. God will continue to guide and lead us just as He has done every step of the way. As we look to the future, we’ll continue doing what we’ve always done…we’ll place our trust in Jesus as we continue to Love God, Love People, and Awaken a Movement.
