Cannery Campus Pastor
Director of Onward
Aaron leads the ministry teams and oversees discipleship efforts at the Cannery Ballroom campus as the campus pastor. He also serves in many other areas of Ethos Church, including the Respond team, Prayer Gathering, Teaching team, and leading a House Church. Aaron has a passion for mentoring men and counseling married couples. He is a natural teacher and finds joy in teaching others about things he enjoys like good music, coffee, the outdoors, praying and walking with God.
Aaron is a “military kid," but Tennessee has always been his family's home no matter where he lived. He has lived in 4 countries and 8 US states. He attended Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas — which is where he met his wife, Amy. Their relationship didn't officially begin until they both joined a church planting team, independently of each other, in 2004. Since meeting and getting married, they have grown their family by three beautiful children (Elijah, Toren, and Dahlia) and 11 chickens. The chickens lend to one of his favorite things to eat which he says is “anything breakfast...especially with farm fresh eggs." Aaron and Amy have called Nashville home since 2013.

What else would you like people to know about you?
Some things I like doing include hiking, camping, playing with my kids, playing guitar, gardening, roasting & brewing coffee, amateur woodworking (emphasis on the amateur), and disc golf.
For my entire life I've never lived in a house for longer than 3 years without moving. As a teenager, I always dreamed of being a famous guitar player. I played in several bands in high school & college, but it never really went anywhere. The first song I ever wrote was co-written with Dave Clayton in 1997. It was called “Sacrifice” and it was absolutely hilarious. My favorite time of the day is right after the sun has risen, but only if I get to be outside. I love watching everything wake up and come alive...that's one reason I love camping. I'm not very neat or organized, but my wife, Amy, says I have a place for everything, and I get uptight if something is not where it's supposed to be. Our first two kids were born in our living room. Watching and participating in the births of my children will forever be three of my favorite moments in my life.
